Description
Thank you for looking.

This is an old Imari namasara (small dish for pickled vegetables) purchased at an antique market.

It is a hybrid of stamped and hand-painted designs.
This was one of the techniques used for tableware during this period.
Most of the center (komi) is usually stamped.

The center features pine, bamboo, plum, and thunder patterns.
I believe it was a classical design even for its time.

On the other hand, the surrounding area has a completely different design.
It features a charmingly designed floral hedge.
In the upper left of the hedge is a swirling pattern in vermilion and gold.
Perhaps it's the sun.
The mysterious vermilion and gold object in the upper right of the hedge, could it be a bird's feather?
Feathers evoke wind.
If so, sun and wind, and thinking from there, it leads to The North Wind and the Sun.
It's an Aesop's fable.
With this, I have arrived at a satisfactory interpretation.
It's an interesting answer.
Between the sun and the feather is a stylish design that seems to be a reconstruction of arabesque and shippo tsunagi (interlocking rings) patterns.
The body uses a modern interpretation of stamped arabesque patterns.
The dishes from this era are interesting.

There is a hairline crack (nyu).
Other than that, there are no noticeable large scratches or chips.
Please check the images carefully.
