Vintage French/Swedish-style brass and glass teardrop wall sconce features an ornate backplate adorned with dangling glass prisms Gustavian-style brass and wall sconce candelabra. The flat brass plates, hex nut assembly, and precision-cut wire arms indicate a mid-to-late 20th-century vintage reproduction rather than a centuries-old antique. Older 18th or 19th-century pieces usually feature hand-hammered backplates, irregular hand-cast pieces, or rougher iron/brass screws rather than modern threaded nuts. There are no apparent manufacturer stamps, signatures, or mold numbers. This is very common for vintage imported decorative hardware from the 1950s–1970s (often made in Italy, Spain, or Sweden) It is likely a mid-20th-century vintage item I believe the adornments are glass prisms rather than crystal- However, they are NOT lightweight and they are thick so I am not sure. Built on a solid, openwork cast-brass frame with tiered decorative metal bands. Draped with classic faceted almond or pear-shaped glass pendalogue prisms that capture and scatter light. All pendalogue are included -54 count for EACH sconce-one pendalogue sconce pieces needs to be rewired/attached. One frame twists a little, but will lay flat on the wall.
