This unique black shichirin features a double-layer structure with a combustion chamber made of diatomaceous earth, covered by a renowned exterior made of Mikawa roof tile clay. Its excellent heat insulation properties help conserve charcoal. Each piece is handcrafted, giving it a substantial feel and a distinctive atmosphere.
These were previously manufactured by Sugimatsu Seito, but the artisan has since retired, making them difficult to obtain.
