Empoli Pink Cased Glass Goblet Chalice White Stem Italian MCM
Empoli
A distinctive piece of midcentury Italian glass, this oversized Empoli goblet pairs a soft pink cased glass bowl with an opaque white interior, stem, and foot. The lightly irregular rim and subtle variations in the glass reflect its handmade construction. Likely made in Italy during the 1960s or '70s, the exaggerated chalice form is particularly characteristic of the expressive decorative glass produced in the Empoli region during the period. Measurements: Approximately 11 tall with a 4.5 diameter foot. Very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs observed. There are a couple of small ash inclusions within the glass, a normal occurrence in hand-blown glass of this type. Minor manufacturing variations and light age-appropriate wear may also be present. At COMAC Collection, each piece is selected for its craftsmanship, design, and enduring character. Vintage objects naturally show signs of age and use, and any notable condition details are described and photographed as accurately as possible. All items come from a smoke-free home.
