Scentsy Buddy Mickey Mouse Classic Plush Disney with Original Box Corduroy

A Scentsy Buddy plush of Mickey Mouse in the Classic design, made under Disney licence, with its original printed box. The ears and arms are worked in ribbed corduroy against smooth plush elsewhere, the shorts are red with two white buttons, the shoes are yellow, and the face is embroidered rather than printed. The back carries the stitched outline of the zippered scent pocket. The sewn in label reads Scentsy Buddy with a Scentsy Inc copyright dated 2018 to 2021 and made in China.  Scentsy built the Buddy line around a pocket in the back that takes a scented pad, which is why the body is filled softly and why the back seam is always the most engineered part of the toy. The Classic styling here follows the flat, simplified Mickey of the early shorts rather than the modern rounded version, and the corduroy ears are a direct nod to the texture of mid century plush. Disney licences these in limited runs and retires them, so the box tends to disappear long before the toy does.  Condition is clean. The plush is bright with no stains, thinning or open seams found, the corduroy nap is intact and the embroidery is crisp. The scent insert is not included.
