Oil Match - Outdoor Use

[How to Use]
Remove the top cap stick and fill it with oil.
Allow the oil to soak into the wick.
Once saturated, strike the flint to ignite.
*Some practice may be required to master ignition.

Essentially, strike the flint with just enough force to create sparks (a quick strike).
Be careful not to apply too much pressure, as this can break the tip of the wick.

*New units may be difficult to ignite initially. Lightly abrade the flint (about 10 times) until some of the color wears off. Strike quickly in an arc motion to create sparks and ignite.
Once lit, do not leave it burning longer than necessary. If the oil runs out and the wick burns, it will become unusable.

*Can be used with commercially available ZIPPO oil.
Inside and near the tip of the wick holder, there is a rope-like material for oil penetration and what appears to be copper wire to facilitate ignition. The tip is shaped like a flathead screwdriver.

A rod-shaped flint (similar to a Zippo flint but longer) is attached to the side of the tank. This part is rubbed against the tip of the metal wick holder to create sparks and ignite.

[Precautions and Extinguishing Method]
Once lit, it will not extinguish easily with moderate wind, though not as windproof as a Zippo lighter. You can extinguish it by blowing directly onto the tip of the wick holder.
