This is a 1/72 scale Seaplane Bomber, the Zuiun.
The Aoshima Zuiun kit has been weathered and detailed.
As a diorama, I created a pseudo catapult, fully scratch-built to resemble the powder-type catapults equipped on the decks of surface combat ships during the Pacific War, placed on a wooden deck.
Actually, the identification numbers should be on the vertical stabilizer, and the Hinomaru (Rising Sun) should be behind the cockpit, but I wasn't sure and ended up painting the Hinomaru on the tail wing.
