Custom Order: Pioneer PDR-N901 with Remote Control

This is a listing for the Pioneer CD Recorder PDR-N901.
A dedicated remote control is included, though it is strictly for the D5 model of the same era. The color is different, but the internal components are the same. A suitable generic power cable will be included.
The exterior has scratches and dirt consistent with its age, but it has been thoroughly serviced and operates well. I have serviced three N901 units previously, and all were restored to working condition. This fourth unit has been treated the same way. While performance can depend on the pickup, I can compensate to some extent.
Approximately two-thirds of the electrolytic capacitors on the control board directly below the drive have been replaced with new ones, and some capacitors have been upgraded for increased capacity. The largest super capacitor is also new. Restoring this control board improves its compatibility with various discs. Ultimately, it can even handle inexpensive discs from 100-yen shops. However, please keep in mind that using high-quality discs from the era is the fundamental approach. As this is a recorder for audiophiles, the quality of the disc will undoubtedly have an impact.
CD-RW recording and playback, as well as disc erasing, are completed without any issues.
Currently, it operates crisply from reading to setup and standby. However, according to someone who experienced it when new, it operated even more smoothly, and it seems it hasn't quite reached that level.
Additionally, I have adjusted some of the six VRs on the circuit board to the best of my ability.
In the case of this N901, the final operation check failed during CD-RW erase, but after a slight VR adjustment, it was completed without problems.
This is the enjoyable aspect of older analog servo systems: they are easy to service and respond quickly due to VR adjustability.
This is truly one of my favorite decks, so I always keep one for myself while listing others. Therefore, if any issues arise, I am open to discussing re-servicing or other solutions.
