A guiro is a percussion instrument that makes sound by tapping or rubbing a stick against the inside of a hollowed-out gourd with grooves.
Today, in addition to gourds, guiros made of wood are called wood guiros.
This product is a wood guiro.
The word is of Spanish origin, and it is sometimes used as a folk instrument in Latin music.
The tone changes depending on where you hit it,
and you can easily produce various sounds by rubbing it,
so it can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, from children to the elderly.
Also great for kindergarten recitals, educational toys, and recreation at day services.
