Lemongrass is a soft scent that doesn't overwhelm the senses and is used very lightly. This balm is also great for boo boos, bug bites, cracked skin, etc. My frenchie has a boopable soft nose with non itchy tootsies that are soft. It just takes a bit to work, and with even one use, you can feel the paw and nose soak up the ingredients. No left over greasy residue and safe to pick as that's what our pets do! As a bonus, it's for people as well. Since using this on Spankey my hands have become softer and cuticles beautiful! The rosehip oil and candula also work wonders for scarring.
