The McCoon's County Goodbye Mary Lou is a vintage porcelain figurine released in 1986. Designed by Samuel J. Butcher, the creator of Precious Moments, it was produced through Samson’s Studios, a short-lived venture run by his sons, Jon and Phillip Butcher.   Product Details The collection is inspired by Ozark hillbilly life and humor, representing a departure from Butcher's typical angelic Precious Moments aesthetic.   Design: The figurine often features a young man and woman in a romantic or farewell scene. One popular version depicts a young man in a U.S. Army or Navy uniform leaving for boot camp.  Material: Hand-painted bisque porcelain with a matte finish.  Dimensions: Typically stands around 5.5 to 6 inches tall.  Status: Retired. Samson's Studios was in operation for less than two years (roughly 1986–1988), making these pieces harder to find than standard Precious Moments.
