Clasp Type: This features a classic vintage simple C-clasp with a wire hinge pin. It is a traditional open-style C-hook with no modern safety roller, which is standard for older mid-century and European souvenir jewelry.  Material: The back view reveals that the pin is actually hand-painted, vitreous (fired) enamel over a copper base rather than plastic.The pinkish-purple backing material is counter-enamel (applied to prevent the copper from warping during firing), which is a signature characteristic of mid-century enamel artisan work.
